Remy is a manufacturer, remanufacturer and distributor of starter motors, alternators, brake parts and steering parts for the automotive aftermarket sector. From March 2020, Remy’s European distribution centre is operational in the Frame 21 Logistic Campus of Heylen Warehouses in Herentals.

The building is located at Diamantstraat 12 in Herentals and consists of a warehouse space of 8,430 m², a mezzanine of 655 m² and an office space of 978 m². The logistics building is located behind the Frame 21 business and event center located in the industrial zone Wolfstee in Herentals, along the E313 (Antwerp - Hasselt). Both are owned by Heylen Warehouses, which is part of the industrial holding Heylen Group from Herentals. Heylen Warehouses was looking for a new occupier for this warehouse after the departure of the former tenant: Pentair Water, a swimming pool components manufacturer.

Remy is controlled by the American venture capital fund Torque Capital, which also owns the brake manufacturer Brake Parts Inc (BPI). Remy and BPI have offices worldwide in several countries (including Belgium, Germany, Hungary, the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico, China, India and Tunisia). Remy Automotive Europe has been based in Heist-op-den-Berg since the 1990s.

In 2019, JLL advised Remy in their search for a new, larger location for their European Distribution Centre. The property of Heylen Warehouses in Herentals offered Remy a turnkey solution and an easily accessible location.
