JLL appoints Philip Charls as senior adviser

JLL has appointed Philip Charls as a senior adviser to further enhance its advisory capabilities in the listed real estate space in Europe.

Mr Charls joins JLL after 10 years as the CEO of EPRA, the European Public Real Estate Association. He began his career as a lawyer and subsequently spent more than 25 years at ING in a series of senior roles. He joined EPRA as CEO in 2007, which has since grown and developed into a leading research and lobbying body in the European listed sector.

In his role, Mr. Charls will work closely with teams across business units and geographies, representing JLL in the active and ongoing interaction with stock-listed European real estate companies around strategic business opportunities. His appointment comes at a dynamic time for listed real estate in Europe with transaction activity at an all-time high and the stock market providing an attractive home for real estate companies across European jurisdictions.
